Students take a Texas Music Teachers Association theory exam.  The following scores receive a medal.

• 98 -101 = Gold Medal
• 94 – 97 = Silver Medal
• 90 – 93 = Bronze Medal
• 70 – 89 = Pass and receive a certificate of completion

This is a Student Affiliate event.  The Student Affiliate fee of $13.50 must be paid before participating in this event.  The Student Affiliate fee also includes TMTA events, such as publication, composition, solo contest, World of Music, and ensemble.
